Brighton

Brighton is a lovely, busy city with lots of photography spots, the most famous probably being the old burned pier that you can spot from the beach near the new one. Being the forgetful person I am, I went there with my cameras (duh), tripods and a full set of filter.
I later realised that I had forgot my remote shutter release, therefore no pretty long exposure for you today.

Maybe the pier is out out focus to symbolize me not being able to get a long exposure of it?

I went there with my trusty X-T20, my Edixa 35mm and my Mint TL70.
At some point I shall post some photo of how I fit all of these, some lens, a gorilla pod and some film (35mm and instax).
Although I spent most of my time enjoying the sunny weather, I managed to go trough two rolls of film, a 24 and a 36, with the latter being my very first roll of Kodak Portra 400 and the former Kodak Ultramax 400. Given that I have only took a few digital pictures, this was the first time I shot more analog than digital.

The Royal Pavilion is a wonderful oriental gem surrounded by a beautiful garden in Brighton city center.
The beach was amazing as well (and crowded), but my favourite part was definitely the Lanes.
Narrow streets, many peculiar shops (most of which are jewelries for some reason), lots of spots to take photos and some quite good restaurants.
What else could we ask for?
A lovely camera shop that sells individual rolls of Portra 400 (35 and 120 mm) obviously!

My partner was kind enough to pose in some of my shots in there.

I look forward to go back to Brighton, it is a very inspiring place… and maybe I will bring my shutter remote next time!
